DEATH: MARY ANN BARLOW KERBY

Our dear Mother and best friend, grandmother, sister, and aunt, passed away on January 30, 1997 at her home in Idaho Falls, Idaho, after a brave battle with ovarian cancer. Throughout her illness she has shown great courage and strength, never complaining, through all of the pain, knowing only death could bring relief. We hope we can learn from her example of courage and strength and her unconditional love and acceptance of her children and her family.

A resident of Salt Lake all of her life, she resided in Idaho Falls the last year with her daughter and son-in-law and their children.Born to Lloyd and Gladys Barlow on August 2, 1935, she was schooled in Richfield, Utah. In March of 1957 she married Steven J. Kerby. She was a graduate of Hollywood Beauty College and practiced as a cosmetologist for many years. Later divorced, she never remarried and never complained of being lonely. Her children and her grandchildren were her main interests. She loved to read and savored delicious food. She was a loving and caring mother and grandmother. We shall miss her terribly.

She is survived by her three daughters, Rosan (Doug) Radford, Idaho Falls, Idaho; Deborah (Heber) Lavery, South Jordan, Utah; and Gina (Larry) Maynes, Riverton, Utah; her grandsons, Morgan and Cody Lavery and Jesse Maynes, step-granddaughters, Desiree, Linsey and Nikki Radford; her brothers and sister, Glade (Alice) Barlow, Las Vegas, Nev.; Kent (Joan) Barlow, Salt Lake City, Utah; Cecille (Perry) Ray, Cedar City, Utah, John (Kathy) Gledhill, Milford, Utah; David (Marla) Gledhill, La Verkin, Utah; LaRell (Karen) Gledhill, Orem, Utah; and her special companion, RooBee Do. Preceded in death by one grandson.

We would like to thank Good Samaritan Hospice for the loving care and compassion they provided to our mother and our family.
