Mary Mauriel Larson Nunley, 82, passed away January 3, 1997 in Salt Lake City.

Born Nov. 12, 1914 in Moroni, Sanpete Co., Utah to James and Susannah Bailey Larson. Married Leslie Nunley on March 28, 1940 in Nephi, Utah; marriage later solemnized in Jordan River Temple. He died June 27, 1983.Was a resident of Spring City, Midvale, and Sandy. Active member of LDS Church, ward organist. Music was an important part of her life. Played piano and organ. She played the organ in several harmonica bands and played for glee clubs, operas, dances and singing mothers. Also enjoyed knitting, sewing, making quilts and afghans for all her family and grandchildren. Was a loving mother, grandmother and sister.

Survived by daughters, Betty Jean (LeRoy) Mitchell, Pleasant Grove; Marianne Nunley, Sandy; son, Steven L. (Sharon) Nunley, San Bernardino, California; son and daughter-in-law, Elvin and Edie Worthington; 18 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by a daughter, Joan Leslie Worthington and four sisters and three brothers, Helen, Hannah, Doris, Pernella, Harris, Orville and Glendale.

Funeral services will be Monday, Jan. 6, 1997, 11 a.m. at Sandy 13th Ward, 8735 So. Harvard Park Dr. (1065 East). Friends may call Sunday 6-7:30 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 So. State St. and Monday one hour to services at the church. Interment: Spring City Cemetery with graveside services at 2:30 p.m. Monday.
