Detectives investigating the death of 6-year-old JonBenet Ramsey said Saturday they have interviewed dozens of people in Georgia who knew the young beauty pageant winner's family, but said no arrests were imminent.
The body of the young girl, a former Little Miss Colorado, was discovered by her father in a basement room of the family's Boulder, Colorado, home on Dec. 26, about eight hours after the girl's mother said she found a ransom note demanding $118,000.Boulder police Sgt. Larry Mason said detectives have interviewed about 30 family members and business associates of John and Patricia Ramsey, who lived in Georgia with their daughter until 1991. The Ramseys buried their daughter in Marietta, Ga., Tuesday.
"The family here has been more than helpful and we have gotten quite a bit" of information, Mason told reporters at a brief news conference. He said investigators would remain in Georgia for a few more days.
