Police investigating a Belgian child sex ring spent several hours Saturday excavating the site of a "horror house" where two girls' bodies were found in September but found nothing new.

The house was destroyed overnight Thursday in a blaze which the fire department said was being treated as arson."We found nothing, but we had wanted to be certain," police spokesman Guy Soumoy told reporters. There were no plans to excavate the grounds further.

A separate investigation was trying to find the exact cause of the fire at the site in Jumet, a suburb of Charleroi in southern Belgium.
