Death: William Godfrey Peterson

William Godfrey Peterson passed on to his heavenly home, Monday, September 29, 1997, at the Heritage Bennion Care Center in Taylorsville, Utah.

Born to Erick Godfred and Margaret Pauline Broman Peterson in Salt Lake City, Utah, on December 23, 1912. Married Ruth Agnes Phillips, October 26, 1935, in Salt Lake City, Utah.Served in the U. S. Navy as a bugler aboard the U.S.S. Langley before the second World War.

William was a member of Brotherhood of Fireman and Engineers Union. Worked for Denver, Rio Grande and Kennecott Railroads.

He had three children, Nancy Jean McEntire, William Phillips and Richard Kent Peterson; three brothers, Kenneth, Vivian Cecil, and Clarence Eugene; two sisters, Olga and Delores Pauline (Jack) Cox. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth, son, Richard and son-in-law, Dr. James E. McEntire.

He will be sorely missed by all, including nine grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, October 2, 1997, 11 a.m. in the Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary Chapel, 10600 S. 1700 E., Sandy, Utah where friends may call Wed. 7-9 p.m. and Thursday one hour prior to the service.

Interment, Larkin Sunset Gardens.
