BYU game will go out to all TCI homes

TCI cable will make Saturday's ESPN2 coverage of the BYU-Rice football game available to all of its customers along the Wasatch Front.

Even the parts of Salt Lake City where the system has been rebuilt with fiber optics, which was not the case for the Utah-at-TCU game on Sept. 13. TCI will open up Ch. 73 - ESPN2's regular channel - even to viewers who are not paying for that tier of programming. In non-fiber optics (coaxial cable) portions of Salt Lake City as well as the West Valley and Draper service areas, the game will be on Ch. 38 for viewers who don't have a cable box and Ch. 73 for viewers who do have a cable box.

Other service areas that will get the game include: Park City on Ch. 38; Davis County on Ch. 13; Ogden on Ch. 26; Payson/Salem/Elk Ridge on Ch. 23; and Nephi on Ch. 29.

There will be no change in Provo, which normally receives ESPN2 on Ch. 70.
