Death: Allen Leroy Hodgson

Allen Leroy Hodgson, 85, passed away peacefully, October 8, 1997.

Born June 10, 1912 in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Nephi and Alice Bowden Hodgson. Married Ivy Jane Campbell, May 29, 1942 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She died May 6, 1990. Graduate of East High School and University of Utah Law School. Attorney for State Tax Commission, attorney for Payson City. Served in the Utah State Legislature for three terms. Served as Reference Attorney for State Legislature. State Drivers License Director. Attorney for the Salt Lake County Family Court. Retired as the Deputy Salt Lake County Attorney. Active in church and civic responsibilities.Survived by his four children: Colleen (Glen) Bowers, Salt Lake; Gordon (Deanna) Hodgson, Springville; Mark (Vicky) Hodgson, South Jordan; Grant (Pam) Hodgson, Bountiful; 18 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; brother Frank (Shirley) Hodgson. Preceded in death by brother, Glen and grandson, David Hodgson.

Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Monday, Oct. 13, 1997 in the Brighton Tenth Ward, 2327 East Bengal Boulevard. Friends may call at the Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 So. Highland Drive on Sun., from 6-8 p.m. and at the ward on Mon., from 10:45-11:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
