Mary Barbara Caputo Inger, 86, of Salt Lake City, died Oct. 9, 1997.
She was born March 29, 1911 in Roslyn, Washington to Santo and Filomena Furrano Lupo. Later she moved with her family to Carbon County, Utah.She married Peter Caputo in 1928; later divorced. Married Hayden Inger of Chicago, Illinois in 1938 in Salt Lake City; he died in 1980.
She was a retired professional cook. Mom loved the Lord, her church, her children, and all her grandchildren with all her heart. She was a loving daughter, wife, sister, mom, grandmother and friend. She took great pride in cooking and gardening. She lived spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by four children: Albert (Pam) Caputo; Clarence "Cub" (Jean) Caputo; Doris Caputo; and Arlene (Glen) Collins, all of Salt Lake City; 11 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and one great great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Frank, John, Tony, and Jim Lupo; and sister, Rose Piccolo.
A funeral mass will be celebrated Tuesday, 10:30 a.m. at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church, 1375 East Spring Lane (5000 South). A vigil service will be held Monday, at 7 p.m. also at the church, where friends may call from 6-7 p.m. Committal, Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery, 4th Ave and T Street.
