Death: John (Jack) (Chris) C. Christiansen

John (Jack) (Chris) C. Christiansen, 83, passed away peacefully in his sleep, October 12, 1997.

He was born August 3, 1914 in Lark, UT, to Fredrick Clifton and Clara Hennie Zimmerman Christiansen. He married Lillie Curtis, May 17, 1940 in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. He was an active member of the church, having held many positions, including his service as a Jordan River Temple worker. He was a member of the C.C.C. He worked on numerous ranches prior to being employed at the Kennecott Copper Smelter, where he worked for 37 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and traveling.He is survived by his wife, Lillie: children, Paul (Rebecca) Christiansen; Kay (Rob) Walsh; Sarah (Jay) Thorsted; Mary (Bob) Cantrell; Lorena (Mark) Hale; 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sister, Donna VanHeel, ID. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Frank, Clyde, sisters, Evelyn, Garnett.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, October 16, 1997 at 11 a.m. at the Valley View LDS Ward Chapel, 5180 W. 4700 S. Friends may call Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Redwood Memorial Estates, 6500 S. Redwood Road and one hours prior to the services at the church on Thursday. Interment, Salt Lake City Cemetery.
