Death: Eugene Stanley Urry, Sr.

Freed at last from his mortal body the kind, gentle, spirit of Eugene Stanley Urry, Sr. returned home to his loving Heavenly Father on Sunday, October 12, 1997.

Born October 29, 1920, Farmington, Utah, the only child of Moroni Stanley and Amanda Marie Nielsen Urry. Gene died from M.O.F.S., complications of a ruptured aneurysm.Gene attended South High School and graduated from LDS Business College. He worked for Auerbach Company filling several positions for 44 years, the last one being branch manager at the Fashion Place Mall. He had worked part-time for Water Specialties for the last 10 years of his life.

An active member of the L.D.S. Church he served in several positions as Ward and Stake financial clerks and at the time of his death, was High Priest Group leader in the West Valley First Ward.

Gene enjoyed golfing, gardening, and model railroading. He loved vacationing, picnicking, and traveling with his children and grandchildren. They were his pride and joy.

Married Marilyn Bernards, July 9, 1951 in the Salt Lake Temple.

Survived by his loving, caring wife of 46 years; four children: Leslie (Don) Breitling; Eugene Stanley, Jr. (Cindy); Roger Martin (Terri) and Charlene (Ken) Roesbery; 17 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services, Friday, October 17, 1997 at 11 a.m. at the West Valley 1st Ward, 3270 West 3650 South, West Valley, Utah. Family and friends may call Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple and Friday at the wardhouse one hour prior to services. Interment, Salt Lake City Cemetery.
