Death: Lavern Joseph Wall

Lavern Joseph Wall, our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather was graciously called home to his Heavenly Father to be joined in Heavenly celebration with his wife, father, mother, brother and sister. He quietly left this life on Oct. 13, 1997 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

He was born May 10, 1914 in Holladay, Utah to Wilhelmina and Conrad Wall. On Sept. 18, 1937, he married Grace Hansen in Salt Lake City, Utah. She preceded him in death on Nov. 29, 1992. He was a member of the LDS Church. He retired from Tooele Army Depot after more than 35 years of employment.

He is survived by sons and daughters, Mr. Gail D. (Kay) Wall, Myton, UT; Mrs. LaVerne (Richard) Fisco, Myton, UT; Mrs. Grace Illene (Blaine) Bowles, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Margit (LaVar) Smith, Tooele, UT; Mr. Larry (Diane) Wall, Ogden, UT.Dad's joy in life came through his family. He left as his posterity five children; 25 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; two great great-grandchildren. He enjoyed the beauty of the mountains, especially the magnificent view of Mt. Olympus as seen every day from his back yard. He took great satisfaction in keeping his home and yard a place of beauty as his flowers and garden were to be envied.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 17, 1997 at 2 p.m. at Holladay 3rd Ward, 4568 So. Holladay Blvd. Friends and family may call from 7-8:30 p.m. on Thursday at Cottonwood Mortuary, 4670 Highland Dr. and one hour prior to services. Interment, Elysian Burial Gardens. Funeral directors, Cottonwood Mortuary.
