Death: LaRene Ott Munson

LaRene Ott Munson, 83, of Tropic, Utah, passed away October 14, 1997, in Richfield, Utah.

She was born January 16, 1914, in Tropic, Utah to Richard and Christabel Jolley Ott. She married James S. Munson, September 14, 1934, in the St. George LDS Temple. He preceded her in death August 24, 1979.LaRene was an active member of the LDS Church where she served throughout her life. She spent her life caring for her family. She loved gardening, sewing and visiting with friends and neighbors. LaRene was a very kind and compassionate person. Her home was always open to relatives and visitors from out of town. LaRene's life long loyalty was to Tropic where she spent all but a few years of her life.

She will be missed by three sons and three daughters, James Richard and Myrna Munson, Sparks, Nev.; Ella LaRene and Lloyd Colvin, Bakersfield, CA; Alden Scott and Maxine Munson, Parowan, UT; Elaine and Dahl Brown, Aurora, UT; Mark Mckay and Sharon Munson, Panguitch, UT; JoAnn and Gordon Topham, Monroe, UT; 30 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; preceded in death by, husband; daughter, Florence Munson; son, Chris Delano Munson; parents; brothers and sisters: Elfa Hokanson, Bessie Chidester, Luella Mangum, Ursel Ott, Norman Ott, Keith Ott, Venna Daley.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 18, 1997 at 1 p.m. in the Tropic LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call at the Magleby Mortuary Friday evening from 7-8 p.m. and at the ward chapel in Tropic Saturday from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Burial will be in the Tropic Cemetery.
