Death: Kay Christensen Whicker

Kay Christensen Whicker, age 53, died Oct. 14, 1997 in Salt Lake City following a long illness.

Born Aug. 15, 1944 in Salt Lake City to Antone Frank and Emily Jane Lott Christensen. Married Darrell Jay Whicker, they were later divorced. She was a member of the LDS Church. She retired as a Customer Service Representative from Utah Power and Light. She was a volunteer for the S.L. Homeless Shelter. She was past president of the Utah Home Builders Association of America. A member of the Council of the Lupus Chapter of Utah & member of and inductee into the International Poet Society Hall of Fame.Survivors: Daughter; Tiffany Whicker, two brothers; Blaine H. (Idona) Christensen, Vern J (Deloris) Christensen, two sisters, Valine (Derrell) Shannon, Lenis (Larry) Nunley. Preceded in death by a son, Cory Whicker; four brothers, and one sister.

Funeral services Fri. Oct. 17, 1997 at 2 p.m. at the Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 S. State St., where friends may call Thur. 6-8 p.m. and Fri. one hour prior to services. Interment Larkin Sunset Gardens.
