Death: Alice C. Christensen

Our Loving Mother, Alice Miriam Curtis Christensen, 92, passed away October 15, 1997 in Salt Lake City.

She was born on January 16, 1905 in Salt Lake City to Alexander R. Curtis and Genevieve Raine. Married Milton LeRoy Christensen on January 25, 1928 in the Salt Lake Temple. He preceded her in death on October 31, 1987.She graduated from LDS High School and the University of Utah and taught in the Salt Lake City schools. Active member of the LDS Church, she served in numerous auxiliary and leadership organizations, including the General Board of the YWMIA for 10 years. She served three missions, with her husband, in France, Germany and Cumorah.

She is survived by five children: Mrs. Kenneth W. (Shirley) Schaar, Milton A. Christensen, Mrs. Donald W. (Genevieve) Tarr, all of Salt Lake City; Stephen S. (Kristine) Christensen, and Richard C. (Katherine) Christensen, both of Arizona; 22 grandchildren and 53 great-grandchildren; brothers: Lindsay R. (Marjorie) Curtis, St. George; Dale R. (Muriel) Curtis; Marvin R. (Darlene) Curtis; LeGrande R. (Patricia) Curtis, all of Salt Lake City.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 18, 1997 at 11 a.m. at the Olympus 1st Ward, 4100 Camille Ave. (2485 East). Friends may call Friday from 6-8 p.m. at the Cottonwood Mortuary, 4670 So. Highland Dr. and one hour prior at the Church. Interment: Wasatch Lawn.
