BYU taking proposal papers for the Sperry Symposium

The Sperry Symposium Committee at Brigham Young University is calling for proposal papers on the Apostle John to be presented at the 27th annual symposium in 1998.

The proposals should be submitted by Monday, Oct. 20. For more information, please call Daniel K. Judd, the symposium chair, at 378-2372 or e-mail: Daniel

The primary purposes of the symposium are to assist teachers and students in coming to a more useful understanding of the writings of John and to encourage New Testament scholarship.

Suggestions for the topic are historical background, doctrinal teachings, prophecies and use of symbolism. However, the presentation does not need to be limited to these items.
