Death: Beatrice G. Johnson

Beatrice Gilbert Johnson, 91, our precious and beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, passed away Wednesday, October 15, 1997, in Bountiful, Utah, due to natural causes incident to age.

She was born February 20, 1906, in Fairview, Idaho, to Elizah and Agnes L. Thomson Gilbert. She married Jesse L. Johnson on February 21, 1930, in the Logan Temple. He passed away on April 25, 1959. She was a school teacher and taught in the Preston area for 30 years. She enjoyed gardening, quilting, crocheting, and all types of handiwork. She was a member of the LDS Church and was active in all the auxiliaries.She is survived by three daughters and one son, Utahna (Larry) Kerr, Gresham, OR; Patricia (Aldous) Weight, Perry, UT; Beatrice (Lee) Winslow, Salt Lake City, UT; Jesse L. (Alvona) Johnson, Jr., Preston, ID; 24 grandchildren, 59 great-grandchildren; a sister, Lucille (Reed) Wardle, Scappoose, OR; a stepson, Alma (Earlene) Johnson, Bluffdale, UT.; and two stepdaughters, Grace (Doug) Blair, WA; and Geraldine Chik, AZ. She was preceded in death by her husband, a daughter, Barbara Fife, a granddaughter, Darcie Weight, a great-granddaughter, Katie Callister, and by three sisters and two brothers.

Funeral service will be Saturday, October 18, 1997, at noon in the Preston 5/8th Ward Chapel, 213 S. 2nd E., with Bishop Neal Larson conducting. Friends may call Friday from 6-8 p.m. at Webb Funeral Home and Saturday from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in the Preston Cemetery.
