Death: Michael Beesley Terry

Michael Beesley Terry, 17, died October 15, 1997 during a climbing accident while he was enjoying the mountains and outdoors that he loved.

Michael was born September 24, 1980 in Bountiful, Utah, son of Verlan J. and Sharol Beesley Terry. Michael loved life, his Heavenly Father, his family, his friends, arts and sports. Michael loved the beauties of nature and enjoyed camping, hiking, skiing, and hunting. He was a priest in the Mueller Park 7th Ward and was an Eagle Scout. Michael had a firm testimony of the Gospel and was eager to serve a mission. He was an honor student at Bountiful High School where he was a member of the choir. He was dedicated to being the best student possible. Michael was well-known as a person always eager to help others. Michael loved children and was adored by his nieces and nephews.Michael is survived by his parents; brothers, Scott (Pennie) of Puyallup, Washington; Clark (Stephanie); James (Cherie); Matthew (Jacquelyn); Elder Steven Terry serving in the Philippines Tacloban Mission; two sisters, Mrs. Brett Merkley (Allison); Mrs. Lance Palmer (LeAnn); and many loving nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and a grandmother, Mrs. Horace P. Beesley (Mary). He is preceded in death by his brother, David.

Funeral services will be held Monday, October 20, 1997 at 11 a.m. in the Mueller Park Stake Center, 1800 East Mueller Park Road (1800 South), Bountiful. Friends may call at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful, Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. or prior to the services on Monday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. Interment will be at the Bountiful City Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers a contribution to Bountiful High School would be appropriate.
