PREPS OF WEEK

LANCE PENDLETON, Dixie: Junior quarterback led the Flyers' aerial attack by throwing for 324 yards and four touchdowns on 21-for-26 passing in a win over Canyon View last Thursday.

Pendleton has completed 110-of-152 passes (72.4 percent) for 1,831 yards and 18 TDs in seven games. He's also rushed for 205 yards and three TDs. Pendleton's favorite target is senior Brett Burrows, who has 44 catches for 983 yards and eight TDs.

"He doesn't make many mistakes, that's his biggest strength," said Dixie coach Mike Smith. "He's just a smart, smart ballplayer with some great talent."

SAU SIALAFAU, Hunter: Versatile sophomore has excelled as a hard-hitter on two different courts for the Wolverines this fall - volleyball and tennis.

Sialafau recently won the Region 2 championship in No. 1 singles and made it to the quarterfinals at the 5A tournament. She finished with an 8-0 region record, 13-4 overall.

Sialafau the volleyball player led the Wolverines past West Jordan with an eight-kill, four-dig outing from her outside-hitter position last week.

"She's really talented at both sports," said Hunter volleyball coach Pam Olsen. "It's worked out really nice that we've been able to have her play both."
