Group honors LDS Hospital for 75 years of membership

LDS Hospital has been honored by the Utah affiliate of the American Hospital Association for its 75 years of membership.

Richard Kinnersley, president of the Utah Association of Healthcare Providers (formerly the Utah Hospital Association) presented a plaque to Kenneth Knight, chairman of Intermountain Health Care's Urban Central Region board of trustees, the community board governing the hospital and its sister facilities in the Salt Lake Valley.The AHA has existed for 99 years and LDS Hospital has been a member for 75 of those years, said Kinnersley. B.F. Grant, former superintendent of LDS Hospital, and three other hospital administrators, helped form the Utah Hospital Association in 1920.
