Specialists in child psychiatry, brain disorders and family relations are among the mental health experts who will be called to testify on behalf of Unabomber suspect Theodore Kaczynski.
Kaczynski's court-appointed attorneys outlined the anticipated expert testimony in a brief filed Tuesday with U.S. District Judge Garland Burrell Jr.Kaczynski, 55, faces trial Nov. 12 on a 10-count federal indictment charging him with four California bombings, two of them fatal. He also faces trial in New Jersey in a third fatal bombing. He has pleaded innocent to all charges. If convicted, he could get the death penalty.
The defense indicated earlier that Kaczynski, a former Berkeley professor who lived alone for years in a tiny Montana cabin, may suffer from paranoid schizophrenia.
