Death: Joseph Shaw

A dear and caring husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend, Joseph Shaw, completed his earthly journey, October 21, 1997.

Born April 27, 1921, to Thomas and Eleanor Randle Shaw. Married Vaudis Beals, June 10, 1947. He was the eleventh child of twelve. Graduate of Murray High class of 1939. Veteran of World War II. He served in England in the Army Air Corps 1942-1945. Retired from Kennecott in 1983, after 36 years as an electric shovel engineer. Life member of VFW and American Legion, Post 119, performing community service for veterans and their families. Loved golfing and working in his yard. His greatest joy was his family.He is survived by his wife; children, Randy (Renae), David and Jolene (Elliot) Moses; grandchildren, Ryan, Jeremy, Brittany, Tiffany, Andrew, Melanie, Heather, Josh and brand new, Tia; great-grandchildren, Natasha, Brayden, Alexandra and Tyler; two brothers, Richard and Roy; two sisters, Ada Haun and Helen Nelson; many nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held Friday, Oct 24th, 11 a.m. at West Jordan Cemetery, 7800 So. 1300 West. Friends may call Thursday 6-8 p.m. and Friday 9:30-10:30 a.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 So. State St.
