Death: William C. Clawson

William Curtis Clawson, age 77, passed away October 22, 1997 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Born December 12, 1919 in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Curtis Y. and Louisa P. Clawson. Married Donnette E. Bosworth September 18, 1954.Veteran of World War II. Served five and a half years in U.S. Army in Europe. Former member of Utah National Guard for 27 years. Held rank of First Sergeant in Medical Unit 144th Evac. Hospital of Utah NG. He was a postal carrier for 30 years.

He attended Woodbury Business College in Los Angeles and also attended the University of Utah. He was Commander of VFW Sugarhouse Post #3586 for two years. He was also a great-grandson of Brigham Young.

Grandpa was a man who loved sports. He enjoyed fishing, playing poker, bowling and was a Jazz fan. Special thanks to his granddaughter, Deanna Earl, who took care of him.

Survivors: son, Brent (Kathy) Hutchinson; daughter, Colleen Olson; grandchildren, Scott C. (Leslie) Earl, Greg & Debbie Earl, Deanna Earl and Curtis Hutchinson; great-grandchildren, Kristen, Adrienne, Shannon, Tiffany and Amanda Earl, all of Salt Lake. Preceded in death by wife, Donette; sisters, Nabbie Lett and Jeannette Judd.

Graveside services will be held Saturday October 25, 1997 at 1:00 p.m. at the Salt Lake City Cemetery, 4th Ave. & N Street. Family and friends may call at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, from 11:30-12:30 p.m. prior to the graveside service.
