2nd man arrested in Logan Canyon ordeal

The second of three watchmen accused of terrorizing 38 teenage trespassers at the former St. Anne's Retreat in Logan Canyon has been arrested and released from jail.

The three watchmen are accused of ambushing trespassers, tying them together by their necks, handcuffing them and holding them at gunpoint in a swimming pool in two separate episodes Oct. 10.Christopher Doerr, Tooele County, was taken into custody by Tooele County deputy sheriffs Tuesday evening. Doerr is charged with six counts of aggravated assault. He posted $5,000 bail and was released from the Tooele County Jail shortly after the arrest.

John Jeppson of Pocatello, another suspect in the St. Anne's assault, was arrested by a Cache County lieutenant sheriff and posted bail Monday.

The third suspect, Arthur Peas-nall of Tooele County, has yet to be arrested, but an arrest warrant has been issued.
