`Young Frankenstein' set at Ogden Egyptian Theater

Peery's Egyptian Theater in Ogden presents Mel Brooks' classic horror/comedy film "Young Frankenstein" from Oct. 30 to Nov. 1.

"Young Frankenstein" stars Gene Wilder as Dr. Frederick Frankenstein, the grandson of the infamous Dr. Victor Frankenstein, who inherits his grandfather's castle and life work. Co-stars include Peter Boyle, who plays the monster, Teri Garr, Cloris Leachman and Marty Feldman as his hunchbacked assistant Igor.The 1974 comedy, a love letter from Brooks to the classic Universal monster movies of the 1930s and '40s, uses actual props and stages from the original "Frankenstein" films.

Preceding the movie will be the Three Stooges short "Spook Up" and the Bugs Bunny cartoon "Witch's Tangled Hare."

Showtimes for the Thursday, Oct. 30, and Friday, Oct. 31, screenings will be 7 and 9:30 p.m. On Saturday, Nov. 1, the show begins at 2, 4:30, 7 and 9:30 p.m.

Admission is $4 for adults, $2 for children 12 and under.
