He was so proud of his family and felt that was his greatest accomplishment.

He served in the Armed Forces during World War II and held the office of High Priest in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He loved the outdoors and loved to fish. He was a champion can picker and has walked hundreds of miles from Tooele to Wendover picking up aluminum cans. In later years, in each neighborhood he lived in, he would gather cans, gathering friends as he went. Thanks to all who saved their cans for him. He loved you all.

Good-bye for now, Ellis, till we all meet again for that great reunion in the not too distant future.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, 12 noon at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road where friends may call 10-11:45 a.m. Graveside services will be held at 4 p.m. at the Emery City Cemetery.
