WOMEN'S SOCCER: Shauna Rohbock scored all three goals - and teammate Jen Love added a pair of assists - as No. 21 BYU blanked UC Santa Barbara 3-0 Friday night at South Field.

WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL: The sixth-ranked Cougars needed the three-game minimum to down visiting New Mexico in a WAC matchup Friday night at the Smith Fieldhouse. BYU won 15-8, 15-7, 15-7 as Korie Rogers tallied a .591 hitting percentage on a game-high 15 kills and teammate Amy Steele Gant added 13 kills and a .524 percentage.


MEN'S TENNIS: BYU dominated semifinal action, securing six finalist spots at the University of Utah Invitational at the Eccles Tennis Center Friday in Salt Lake City.

Cougar Damian Ward led the charge, upsetting second-seeded Paul McPherson of Utah, 6-4, 7-5.

Manuel Calvo defeated teammate Brad McIntosh 4-6, 6-4, 6-4. Calvo faces Ward in tomorrow's singles final.

BYU's doubles team of Ward/Calvo defeated fellow Cougars Harbach/Stohl 8-6 and will play teammates McIntosh/Hardin, who beat Rideout/Easton of BYU 8-6, in final competition. The Cougars' Shawn Hiatt and Jeff Harbach both advanced to the finals of singles consolation play.

Finals will be Saturday at the Eccles Tennis Center.

Utah State

WOMEN'S SOCCER: The Aggies suffered their sixth shutout loss of the season, falling 2-0 Friday at home to defending Big West champion Cal Poly SLO.

WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL: Pacific used a strong blocking effort that stymied Utah State's offense as the 13th-ranked Tigers swept the Aggies, 15-4, 15-9, 15-2 in Big West volleyball action Friday night at the Spectrum.

UVSC WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL: Utah Valley State College came away with a 15-7, 15-8, 15-9 win over Dixie College in women's volleyball action Friday at the UVSC Activity Center.
