Death: Wilma LaVon Eskelson

Wilma LaVon Christensen Eskelson, 96, our loving mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully October 25, 1997, at her home in Draper.

Born August 9, 1901, in Midview, Utah, to Adolph and Fanny Snow Christensen. Married George Alma Eskelson in Salt Lake County July 29, 1919. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He preceded her in death March 12, 1971.Wilma was active in the LDS Church and the Daughters of Utah Pioneers. She shared her talents of knitting, ironing and crocheting with family and friends. She had a love and zest for all areas of homemaking and gardening.

Survivors: daughter, Sylvia Eskelson, Draper; 21 grandchildren, 54 great-grandchildren and 21 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Cynthia Brown, Sandy. Preceded in death by three sons, LaMar C., Lavell, Allen; also three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services Wednesday, October 29, 1997, at 10 a.m. in the Crescent 1st LDS Ward, 116 East 11400 South. Friends may call at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State, Tuesday 6-8 p.m. and Wednesday at the church from 9:00-9:45 a.m. Interment, Francis Utah Cemetery.
