WOMEN'S TENNIS: University of Utah senior transfer Anna Svendenhov won the Idaho State Invitational singles title and teamed with Linda Engblom for the doubles title over the weekend. Svendenhov defeated Engblom in the singles championship 6-4, 6-3. Utah completely dominated the tournament by claiming all four semifinal births. Angie Olson lost to Engblom 6-0, 6-2 in one semifinal and Megan Payne fell to Svendenhov 2-6, 6-4, 6-3 in the other.
SWIMMING & DIVING: BYU's men's and women's swimming and diving teams came up with impressive wins in the Colorado State Early Bird Invitational in Fort Collins on Saturday.
The women served notice that they'll be WAC contenders with a 1264-1176.5 win over always-tough Colorado State. The men's team beat Wyoming 1136-978.
WOMEN'S SOCCER: The Aggies picked up their first league win in school history Sunday by defeating UC Santa Barbara 1-0. Utah State improved its record to 4-13 overall and 1-5 in the Big West. Sophomore Trish Cracroft scored USU's lone goal.
WOMEN'S SOCCER: The Wildcats outdueled Sacramento State 2-1 in overtime Saturday to record their second conference win of the season. Tara Ferrin and Deedra Russell scored for Weber State, bringing the 'Cats' season record to 13-3-1, 2-1 in the Big Sky conference.
