Death: Louis Milford Smith

Louis Milford Smith, 86, died October 25, 1997 in Tooele.

Born March 26, 1911, in Red Cloud, Nebraska, to Arthur and Elizabeth Earner Smith. Married Myrtle M. Fenton, June 17, 1936. They lost their one and only child, a daughter, at birth in March of 1940.He was a member of the Methodist Church, the American Legion, and the Elks, Eagles, and Moose Fraternal organizations. As a member of the Moose, he earned their highest degree, that of Pilgrim. He joined the U.S. Army in 1943 and served in the South Pacific. He worked as a farmer in Nebraska, for Puget Sound Power & Light in Washington state. Moved to Tooele in 1962 where he retired from Tooele Army Depot.

He is survived by his wife of Tooele; sisters: Barbara Moore of Ainsworth, NE. and Eveline Cannon of Anchorage, AK. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Harold, Vernon, Clair and Paul.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 29 at 11 a.m. in the Tate Mortuary, 110 So. Main, Tooele, where friends may call one hour prior to services. Burial, Tooele City Cemetery.
