Death: Donald Arthur Breinholt

Donald Arthur Breinholt, age 78, of Provo, passed away, peacefully at home, on October 26, 1997.

He was born November 13, 1918 in Redmond, Utah, to Peter Torvold and Mary Jane Gleave Breinholt. He married Marjorie Spendlove on January 26, 1938 in Heber, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized on January 26, 1956 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.He moved to Provo with his widowed mother when he was 8 years old, and has lived here ever since. He graduated from Provo High School, where he had been active in Football, basketball and track. He was an accomplished musician, and played the Bass Fiddle for over 35 years in dance bands throughout Utah. He was an active member of the LDS Church, and held numerous positions in the Ward and Stake. He served a temple mission with his wife for 2 years. He loved his family, and traveled to many parts of the World during his life.

He worked for Union Pacific Railroad for 35 years. After retirement operated the Beltone Hearing Aid Center with his wife for 10 years. He was a loving and kind husband, father, and grandfather who loved his family dearly. He will be greatly missed. Don was the last surviving child of 11 children.

Don is survived by his loving wife Marjorie; one son and two daughters; Dan (Linda) Breinholt of Provo, Utah; Carol (Benny) Hullinger of Pleasant Grove, Utah; Janet (Robert) Harding of Provo, Utah; 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and nine brothers, one sister, and one grandson.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 30, 1997, at 12 Noon, at the Edgemont 13th Ward LDS Chapel, 4000 North Foothill Drive. Friends may call Wednesday evening, from 6-8 p.m., at the Berg Mortuary of Provo, 185 East Center Street, or Thursday, at the Ward Chapel, one hour prior to services. Interment, East Lawn Memorial Hills. Full military rites accorded by the VFW District #4.
