Death: Bert Evans Nordquist

Bert Evans Nordquist, a former owner of Mountain States Supply Company in Salt Lake City, Utah, died Sunday, October 26, 1997 in Mesa, AZ, where he had been a resident since 1974.

Mr. Nordquist was born October 14, 1909, in Salt Lake City to Albert Richard and Ida Pearl Evans Nordquist. He served a mission in Germany for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He married Wanda LaVaughn Morgan, March 12, 1934, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She preceded him in death, August 20, 1989. He married Gladys Cameron, September 28, 1990. He was a member of the Elk's Lodge of Salt Lake City and a member of the Fountain of the Sun Country Club in Mesa.Survivors include his wife; two sons, Ronald B. Nordquist, Houston, TX; and Dennis E. Nordquist, Salt Lake City, UT; and one daughter, Mrs. Peter H. Black (Nancy Ann), Mesa, AZ; four granddaughters, two grandsons; five great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Helen Lubeck and Lois Larsen, both of Salt Lake City. Preceded in death by two brothers, Raymond and Frank.

Visitation in Salt Lake City on Wednesday, October 29th, 6 to 8 p.m. at the Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple. Graveside services on Thursday, October 30th, at 11 a.m., Salt Lake City Cemetery, 4th Avenue and N Street.
