Death: Anna Magdalena Prothero Edvalson

Anna Magdalena Prothero Edvalson, our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and friend passed away on October 28, 1997, from complications following heart surgery.

Anna was born July 11, 1922 in Ogden, to Hendrikje Schaart and Walter Thomas Prothero. She married Joseph Edvalson on July 11, 1947. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Los Angeles Temple. She celebrated her 50th Wedding Anniversary on July 11, 1997. She was a graduate of Ogden High School. Graduated from BYU and retired from Ohio Casualty Insurance Co.She loved people and was everyones friend. She was active in the LDS Church all of her life. She enjoyed her many church assignments and especially enjoyed working at the cannery on food storage items.

Anna's sense of humor lasted till the end. Her main concerns were for her family, never for her own welfare.

She was very patriotic, and joined the Waves in World War II. She spent most of her enlisted time working on medical records.

She is survived by her loving family, husband, Joseph; two daughters, Chrisann (Clarke) and Gena-Louise; five sons, Fred, Joseph Jr., Eric, Walter and David; 23 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; her two brothers, Walter and Emmett Prothero.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, 1997 at the Fiddler's Creek Chapel, 380 South Fairfield Rd. in Layton with Bishop Memmott officiating. Friends may call on Friday from 6-8 p.m. at Lindquist's Layton Mortuary, 1074 North Fairfield Road, and Saturday from 9:45 - 10:45 a.m. at the Church. Interment will be at the West Weber Cemetery.
