Orem needs to change the way it elects council members, which is one reason I'm voting for Joseph Anderson. Orem does not currently have a representative form of government; Provo does. Provo is divided into voter precincts, giving its council representation from all city areas. Orem does not.
Right now, five of the seven current members of the council live in the northeast quadrant of the city. It gets worse. Five of the six current Orem City Council candidates live north of 800 North. Anderson is the only candidate on the ballot from south Orem. If you want a councilman who will vote to change Orem's council election to a representative form of government, vote for Anderson.Jim Proctor
