Fame isn't going to change the habits of Fiona Apple.
The 20-year-old singer, named Best New Artist at last month's MTV Video Music Awards, told Spin magazine that she still lives with her parents and doesn't have a driver's license."I'll never not take the subway, no matter how famous I am," says Apple, who grew up in New York. "If it reaches the point where I have to wear disguises, I will."
Apple stays at her father's house when she's in Los Angeles. In New York, she crashes at her mom's apartment. Her debut album "Tidal" climbed as high as No. 15 on the Billboard charts.
"I'm impressed with myself for getting here," she said.
