A Salt Lake man has been nominated for a 1997 National Caring Award.
John E. Moray was nominated for the award for his contributions to the community through his activity in Kiwanis Club.Moray was governor for the Utah-Idaho Kiwanis District from 1991-1992 and community chairman for three years. He has raised money for prenatal care promotions and a national immunization program. He joined Kiwanis in 1959.
Ten adults and five youths will be selected in October for the National Caring Awards, created to raise the standards of social responsibility. Utahns Jon Huntsman and Katy Ballenger received the awards last year.
