Death: Lucille (Lucy) Teagarden

Lucille Emeline (Evans) Teagarden, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, age 76, passed away peacefully Thursday, October 2, 1997 at Friendship Villa Care Center.

She was born August 14, 1921 in Pleasant View, Idaho to Asa David and Emeline Ann Mecham Evans. She married Samuel Isaac Teagarden, April 17, 1943 at Ft. Douglas, Utah; marriage later solemnized March 2, 1995 in the Bountiful Temple. She grew up in Malad, Idaho and graduated from Malad High School. She worked for a time in Salt Lake City and graduated from LDS Business college. Lucy worked at the VA Hospital later at Tooele Army Depot and finally at Dugway Proving Grounds, where she was an executive secretary for many Post Commanders and a U.S. Army Hospital Commander. She retired from civil service in 1975.During her lifetime, Lucy, as she was known by her friends, touched many lives and will be deeply missed by family and friends. Lucy dearly loved her husband of 49 years and was a great source of inspiration and strength to him, and her loving family.

She is survived by her daughter, Barbara J. Gregory; four grandchildren, Wendy J. Dobson

(Ernie); Sgt. Randy D. Lowe (Shelley), U.S. Army; Cosette M. Lowe; Samuel R. Gregory (Barbara); six great-grandchildren with the seventh to arrive soon. She is also survived by two brothers, Thain Evans (Helen) and Roy C. Evans (Bonnie) and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her loving husband; parents; three brothers; one sister and one grandchild. She has now joined them in eternal life.

The family would like to thank the administration, many staff members and friends at Friendship Villa Care Center.

Funeral services will be held Monday, October 6, 1997 at 11 a.m. at the Larkin Mortuary, 260 East So. Temple, where friends may call Sunday, 7-9 p.m. and Monday, one hour prior to services. Interment: Utah Veterans Memorial Park.
