Stolen parrot saves himself by calling out owner's name

Polly want a reward?

Twice Rob Krakan has returned home to find that someone had stolen Kaipo, his 12-year-old Amazon parrot. And twice he's found Kaipo because the plucky bird called out Krakan's name from its captor's house.Krakan reported to police on Oct. 16 that Kaipo had been taken. He hung fliers around the community and walked through the neighborhood calling out Kaipo's name. Police later were told that the bird was being held at a house.

Accompanied by police, Krakan called out Kaipo's name outside the residence, and the bird responded saying "Rob." Police have arrested an 18-year-old man in the case.
