Death: Theora ""Teddy"" Jensen

Theora Erekson Chipman Johnson Jensen, 90, died October 30, 1997, of cancer.

She will be missed by her extended family and her many friends. She always found the good and the beautiful in everyone and everything, and she helped others appreciate the abundant joys of life. She enjoyed family, friends, travel, fishing, company, bowling, birthdays, and holidays.She especially enjoyed the companionship of Reed Jensen, her husband for the final quarter century of her life.

Theora Erekson was born March 31, 1907 in Vernal, Utah, a daughter of Haller and Myrtle Miller Erekson. She has three brothers and two sisters: Clinton (deceased), George (deceased), Don, Doris Johnson, and June Mowrey.

She married Elden Mott Chipman (deceased), June 10, 1930; Glen E. Johnson (deceased), June 19, 1946; and B. Reed Jensen, May 6, 1972. She graduated from the University of Utah in 1927 and taught school in Vernal before moving to Salt Lake City to work at the Remington Arms Plant, First Security Bank, and Premier Cleaners.

She is survived by her husband; a brother; two sisters; two children and five step-children: Doris Chipman Gale (Don); Garry Chipman (Peggy); Jeanne Johnson Newman; G. Ed Johnson (Zandra); Deon Jensen McDonald; Judy Jensen Malouf; and Ronald Jensen (Diane). She was also loved by her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

The family expresses thanks to care givers at the Holladay Care Center, who helped make her final days as pleasant as possible.

Funeral services will be at noon on Monday, November 3, at Larkin Sunset Lawn Mortuary, 2350 East 1300 South. Friends may pay respects from 5 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, November 2 at Larkin Sunset Lawn or from 11 to 11:45 a.m. on Monday. Burial will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery.
