Chicago Symphony will go on as musicians OK contract

Chicago Symphony Orchestra musicians unanimously approved a three-year contract Saturday, ending fears that the orchestra's gala season opener would be in jeopardy.

The agreement gives the 104 orchestra members an extra $65 per week, or 4.3 percent pay increase, in the first year, said Ed Ward, president of the Chicago Federation of Musicians.
