Sandy woman appointed to County Library Board

Brigitte M. Dawson, Sandy, has been appointed by Salt Lake County commissioners to the Salt Lake County Library System Board.

She succeeds Ronald L. Fox, who announced at a Sept. 22 board meeting in Sandy that he had resigned from the board and that Dawson had been appointed Oct. 1.Fox said he had resigned because he no longer lives in Salt Lake County. Fox, who in late August was elected temporary chairman of the board, now resides in North Salt Lake.

Dawson is the wife of Sandy Police Chief Sam Dawson. She has been editor and publisher since 1978 of quarterly publications of the Utah Peace Officer Magazine. In 1990 she was selected "Woman of the Year - Police Chiefs Spouses Worldwide."
