Death: Pete Pollock

Pete Pollock passed on into God's Kingdom at 9:45 p.m. Saturday, October 4, 1997. His long journey is now over, he is finally free and at rest in a place far, far better than here. He was a loving brother, husband, father and grandfather, who worked hard for his family. He was a generous and compassionate man, who loved people, fishing and baseball, with a tremendous will to live. Thank you, Jesus, we will meet him in Heaven.

Pete was born in Rio Piedres, Puerto Rico on February 22, 1920 to Alejandro and Eusebia Moralas Pollock. Pete married Cecilia Vigil in Bingham City, on July 30, 1949; he and Cecilia are members of the Catholic Church. Pete retired from Kennecott Copper after 39 years of loyal service, in which he was recognized as an expert in his field of drilling and blasting. His parting will be profoundly felt by both family and friends.Pete is survived by his wife, Cecilia; sons and daughters, Alex and Candice; Anthony and Shiloah; Larry; Bill; Dave; Dan; Linda; and Mary and her husband, Keith Wilson; his godson, Byron Tucker; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and 10 great great-grandchildren. Pete was preceded into death by first born infant daughter, Georgina.

Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, October 9, 1997, at 10 a.m., St. Therese Catholic Church, 75 East Lennox, Midvale. Friends may call at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State, Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. with a Rosary Service at 7:30 p.m. Interment, Midvale City Cemetery.
