Bobby Dean Mitchell died Oct. 5, 1997 after a courageous battle with cancer. Bob has now started a new journey to meet with his loving wife, LaVonne.
Bobby Dean was born Jan. 11, 1931 in Salt Lake City to Arthur and Stella Mitchell, ten minutes later he was joined by the terror of his life, Bonnie Jean. Bob fought in the Korean War, upon his return he married his sweetheart, LaVonne Orr in Ely Nev., August 9, 1953. They were later blessed with the pride and joy of their lives, Dennis. Bob worked at the Salt Lake City Water Corp. as a welder for 23 years. Bob was a jack of all trades and a master of them all. Many of us had different names for Bobby. Dennis would call him Dad, others Bob, but to the rest of us it was Unc or Uncle Bob. Bob was a devoted loving father, husband, uncle and friend who will be missed by all.Survived by: his son, Dennis Mitchell, Victor, Id.; sisters, Donna Brems, Bonnie Callister, Darlene Lawson; brother, Paul Mitchell, all Salt Lake City; many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at the Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary, 10600 So. 1700 East, Thursday, Oct. 9, 1997 at 1 p.m. where friends may call Wed., Oct. 8th from 6-8 p.m. & Thursday and one hour prior to services.
