Death: Harold (Hap) Schouten

Beloved husband, fun Dad, Grandpa and Grandpa Great left this life October 4, 1997.

Born May 14, 1920 to Johannes David and Hendrika Suzannah Unck Schouten. Married Leanore (Lee) Cummins, June 28, 1941. They shared 56 years together, had six children; 16 grandkids; 20 great-grandkids plus many friends who knew him as "grandpa" and loved him as a father.Survived by wife, Lee; children, Mark (Dee) Schouten; Dianne (Larry) Kirkwood; Shauneen Owens; (twin) Cyrina Tumey (Jim Windle); (twin) Laurina (Charles) Whitlock; Trudy (Robert) Gallegos; grand and great-grandkids and adopted families.

He was a scout master in Antioch, Calif. Worked many years for Mid West Casket. Served in US Navy during World War II.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations in grandpa Hap's honor to Boy Scouts of America.

Viewing at Deseret Mortuary, Wed., October 8, 1997 from 6-8 p.m. Graveside services will be held Thur., October 9, 1997 at 11 a.m. at the Utah Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 17000 So. Redwood Rd., Riverton, UT.
