Death: Donna C. Evans

Donna Clegg Evans, 82, loving wife, mother and grandmother, died Monday, October 6, 1997 in Preston, Idaho.

She was born December 11, 1914 in Downey, the daughter of Joseph and Hannah Elsie Barrup Clegg. She married Stanley Emmett Evans, January 16, 1935 in the Logan Temple. He died June 16, 1984. She worked along side of Stan for 19 years in Stan's Market. As matriarch, she was very involved with her family. She loved country music, Indian decor, crochet and reading. She was a member of the DUP, Lady Elks, Lady Kiwanas. Served in the LDS Church.She is survived by two sons and four daughters and spouses: Don Ray and Larene Evans, Salt Lake City, UT; Emmett and Dorothy Evans, Duchesne, UT; Joene and Don Martin, Janae Larsen, Berna Dee and Paul Reid, all Preston, ID; and Vicki Lee and Judd Coon, West Jordan, UT; 22 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, eight stepgrandchildren, 31 step-great-grandchildren, and four step-great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by two great grandchildren, Randy Reid and Jacob Martin, her husband and her parents.

Funeral services will be Thursday, 12 noon, Oct 9, 1997 in the Preston South Stake Center, with Bishop Jerry Waddoups conducting. Friends may call at Webb Funeral Home, Wednesday, 6-8 p.m. and at the stake center Thursday 10:30-11:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Preston Cemetery.
