Ernest M. Leyba, 77, passed away October 7, 1997 in Salt Lake City.
He was born March 26, 1920 in Chamisal, New Mexico, to Ezequiel and Altagracia Leyba. On June 10, 1944, Ernest married Edith Riley in Manchester, England. She preceded him in death on July 27, 1984. Ernest was a veteran of World War II. He worked for Thompson Flying Service and later managed Salt Lake Aircraft Parts.Ernest was a member of St. James Episcopal Church, El Kalah Patrol, member and past Worshipful Master Argenta Lodge #3 F. & A.M., PAGG International Order of Job's Daughters.
Survivors include three sons, Michael A. (Cherie), Richard (Ronna), and Kenneth (Cindy), 10 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; three brothers and six sisters.
Private family services will be held Friday, October 10 at Evans & Early Mortuary.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to Shriners Children's Hospital.
The family wishes to thank Reverend Willie Hoffer for her devotion and friendship to our dad.
