The Westminster College Concert Series will present the Lyric Trio in concert on Sunday, Nov. 23, at 7:30 p.m., in the Jewett Center for the Performing Arts, 1250 East 1700 South. General admission is $5 for adults, $3 for children, and free with a Westminster College ID.
The members of the Lyric Trio are all well-known musicians. Violinist David Park began playing violin at age 5 in Seoul, South Korea, and studied music at Indiana University and at The Juilliard School, where he received his master of music degree.Cellist Stephen Emerson has been assistant principal cellist with the Utah Symphony since 1978. He received music degrees from California State University Long Beach and from the Hartt School of Music.
Pianist Marjorie Janove is an active soloist and chamber music performer who has appeared with the Utah Symphony, Snowbird Chamber Music Festival, the Madeleine Festival and the Temple Square Concert Series.
The group will perform an all-Beethoven concert at Westminster: the "Ghost" Trio, the "Archduke" Trio and Duos for Violin and Cello.
