"One of the things I've learned is that education is one of the most important things you could ever do for yourself," he told students at John Marshall High School. "It's unbelievable. It's like having a garden in your mind. It's constantly growing. You have to water it."LL Cool J, who was born James Todd Smith, has six platinum rap albums. He spoke as part of the Newspaper Association of America's literacy campaign, which also boasts such spokesmen as former presidents Jimmy Carter and George Bush.
