When George Clooney learned that his aunt Rosemary Clooney was making plans to marry Dante Di Paolo this week, he sent a bouquet of flowers with a note asking, "What's the rush?"
Rush, indeed: Rosemary Clooney, 69, met Di Paolo, 72, in 1951 when he was her dance coach for a movie called "Here Come the Girls." They have lived together since 1973.They are to be married Nov. 7 at St. Patrick's Church in Maysville, Ky., where Clooney was baptized. The afternoon reception is to be held in three houses she and her brother, Nick Clooney, own in nearby Augusta, Ky.
Why marry now? "We both decided that we are very content together, and we know we want to stay together for the rest of our lives," she said. "And our grandchildren wanted us to get married."
