Police arrested three Pleasant Grove residents over the weekend in connection with a string of recent robberies in Utah County.

A tip led police to a Provo fast-food restaurant Friday at 10 p.m. The three suspects, two adults and a juvenile, were at Rocky Mountain Drive-in, 1300 N. State, and could have been preparing for another robbery, said Provo Police Lt. Greg Du Val.Police arrested a 21-year-old male, an 18-year-old female and a male juvenile, age unavailable. All three are from Pleasant Grove. Du Val said police are searching for two additional suspects.

The juvenile carried a BB pistol during several robberies last week, Du Val said. Police believe the three are connected to robberies at a Subway and Hogi Yogi sandwich stores in Provo, a Hogi Yogi sandwich store in American Fork and the Super Target store in Orem.

Police suspect the same people may also be responsible for an attempted robbery at the ATM machine at First Security Bank, 1389 N. University Ave., Wednesday. A woman at the machine didn't believe the robber's weapon was real, so she slapped him in the face. The man ran away.
