The accident occurred at about 8:30 a.m. when a northbound car slammed into the back of another car, veered into the highway median and into southbound traffic. The car was then broadsided by a southbound truck, said Utah Highway Patrol Lt. Verdi White II.The occupants of all the damaged vehicles were wearing seat belts and were not seriously injured. However, the accident choked traffic in both directions for about an hour until the lanes could be cleared, White said.
